• The Aldeburgh Festival

9th – 25th June 2017 ( ‘a Festival so broadly rich in interest that it ranks among the finest in the world’’ – The New York Times )

The Aldeburgh Festival 2017 celebrates the 50th anniversary of music at Snape Maltings - one of the earliest conversions of a former industrial building for arts use, Snape Maltings Concert Hall was finished in time for the 1967 Festival. This year, as 50 years ago, the Festival presents Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Also featuring a second Britten opera, with Opera North’s concert stagings of Billy Budd.

• Aldeburgh Food And Drink Festival

23rd and 24th September 2017

The famed Aldeburgh Food And Drink Festival has become a very popular event in the Suffolk Calendar, showcasing Suffolk food, market stalls, workshops and demonstrations as well as offering gourmet experiences from Field to Fork. Join over 80 local producers for a celebration of Suffolk’s thriving food scene.

• Aldeburgh Documentary Festival

3rd – 5th November 2017

Aldeburgh Documentary Festival is a very special weekend in a magical place on the edge of the North Sea. 'DocFest' is organised and delivered by the Aldeburgh Cinema Trust, a Registered Charity also responsible for the year-round operation of Aldeburgh Cinema, a community film theatre that has shown movies consistently since 1919.

• Aldeburgh Poetry Festival

3rd – 5th November 2017

Aldeburgh Poetry Festival is the UK’s pre–eminent annual celebration of national and international contemporary poetry and the expansion to Snape Maltings in 2012 has attracted ever bigger audiences, with overall attendance between 5,000 and 6,000 in the last three years. At last, more room to welcome more people!

Latitude Festival

13th to 15th July 2017

The highly acclaimed and popular Latitude Festival is only fifteen miles from Sandpit Farm and is said to be more similar to continental European festivals; as well as a comprehensive bill of musicians, bands and artists, the festival comprises elements of theatre, art, comedy, cabaret, poetry, politics, dance and literature.
