Welcome to Sandpit Farm
The river Alde meanders along the boundary of our gardens, wild flower orchard, woods and ponds. A fountain plays in the remains of the old moat in the lovely south facing garden, surrounded by mellow brick walls opening out to the stunning views across the water meadows and valley beyond. This is somewhere very special to stay, relax and unwind and yet be in easy reach of all the many wonderful places along the heritage coast and surrounding area of Suffolk.
Enjoy the peace, tranquility and beauty of a mellow Grade II listed house and gardens, hidden in the magical Alde Valley at Bruisyard. A wonderful rural location with stunning views.
Sit in front of a log fire in the winter. In summer play tennis on the hard tennis court or read in the secret garden. Breakfast is served in the dining room and you will be offered a choice of delicious home made and local produce. The house is warm with central heating and open fires.
Two comfortable bedrooms, double/twin, decorated and attractively furnished in keeping with our home.
One, overlooking the courtyard to the fields beyond, has beautiful hand-painted decorative beds, with en-suite shower room. The other with windows overlooking the wild flower orchard, garden and water meadows has a bathroom and small sitting room in a private wing of the house.
An idyllic place to stay in Suffolk, close to many places of interest including Framlingham, Aldeburgh, Snape, Minsmere, Southwold, Woodbridge and the Heritage Coast.
If you wish to explore the area by bicycle, we can store it safely, or recommend where to hire one. Tennis – bring your racket and shoes and play on our hard tennis court you may have a huge audience of rabbits!
